Two beautiful horses shaped on wood.

This photo is very special for me. It was taken on march 14th, this 2012, a few days before I leave Puerto Varas to come to live in Santiago.
It shows me and a my friend Paula (Peu). She actived the camera to take the photo automatically. At the moment of the photograph, we were doing a “photographic session” (It was her idea). We had never taken  a photo of us, because it was our tradicion (It was my idea).

I met Peu two years ago. It was "friendship at first sight". Well, she had a terrible plan that included to became on my friend, but she ending loving me. Loving me like a friend.
People usually didn't understand that we were just friends. Now all of them know, because she has a boyfriend (a friend, too). The point is that people don`t believe in the friendship between a man and a woman. Well, it is possible.  
That's precisely the most special thing of this. She is like a sister for me. A younger sister, because she's 15. Age was not a barrier in our friendship.

The photo was improved by Peu, with all this effects that I don't understand. I like it because it remember me the image of a disc of  the group sui generis.
She alleged that I didn't consider her on my publication of Manuel García (Her brother was the friend that showed me Manuel's music), and because I never call her (because I never have money!). So this is a tribute for my best friend. For you, little Peu. See you at the winter.

Sandy Point, the wamest heart

Four years ago, I lived in the most beautiful city in the world. It is Punta Arenas (Sandy Point). The south of the south...

Punta Arenas is the capital of Magallanes region, Chile. It was founded in 1848 and, today, it has 120.000 inhabitants approximately. About de climate, you know, it is coooold. It is windy and rainy too (especially windy).

Yeah, it is so cold, but I want to write about the heart of his people. It is warmer that the fire. I will say why, with just a few examples.

First example. Do you know "Teletón"? All the country giving money for treatment of kids and disabled peolple, a wonderfull day... But there was a place, in Chile, that didn't have a Teletón: Punta Arenas.
So, what did they do?

Magallanes has his own "Teletón":  "Jornadas por el niño impedido magallánico" are made each year, since 1988. Last year the name was changed to "Jornadas por la Rehabilitación en Magallanes", because they don`t serve only kids.

Second example.  Wherever you go, wherever you stay in the world, a flag of Magallanes region is going to be on high. See this picture.

It`s me, in a student convocation in Santiago of Chile. And that's the flag.


Example numer three, is represented on this pictures. This happened when the gobernments don't take account the people needs and rights. When they don't listen the people.
