Blogging experience

I never had a blog before. Well, I did one on my history class, 4 years ago… But I never finished it. So this blog is, practically, my first one.

It was crazy. Sometimes I didn`t know what to write, or when I found a topic, sometimes I didn’t know how to say something in english.

Using an on-line diccionary, comments of my classmates and help of the teacher, I wrote and I learned some new words and expressions. Sometimes the afternoon was a little bored… so I wrote something funny and informal, to make me laugh and make people laugh.

Looking for tmeaning or traduction of some word, and trying to find a definition, I practise my written English. 

Pros, are that work in computer is easier than to write on a paper. If you make a mistake, you have to use an eraser, or “liquid paper”. And, with Internet, you can find information faster than to start looking on books… finally, if you fell that you make a great post, you can show it to a lot of people, wherever they could stay, even on another city. It happened to me twice or three times.

Cons, could be that the time is sometimes not enough to write a good article. Or to check the english, and make comments.

With all, I think it was a good way to work.

Underclothes (or underwear)

(This is not about scantily clad women. Although, it could be more interesting.)

Like students, we always make homeworks and tests about topics that are di i i i  iii istant to us. So I want to talk about something that I feel near to me. Literally.

In fact, how many times do you think in your underpants? Well, I recognize that I think more in undercloth of some nice nice girls...

If we need a definition, underclothes are the cloth that we wear inside another. So it is not in sight of the people... well, when the person is dressed. But we don’t need a definition, because we have a very close relation with this kind of cloth.

When we talk about underclothes,  we are considering: underpants and bras, for women; and  briefs, for men. We have to add socks. In some crazy parts of the world, we have to add t-shirts like undercloth. There are cultural reasons.

If you don`t know, we use it, mainly, for hygiene. We could add to fell confort and warm. And, yes, another important function is related with eroticism… But this were my 190 words, I`m sorry.

Fast cake, my grandmother’s recipe.

Although I never knew my grandmother, I think grandmothers can be very wise.  So I decided to invent me a grandmother who teach me how can I make a cake. Her recipe is special for male students like me. (Sometimes I want to eat something but I don`t know cooking, and I’m alone and far of my house…). So  this is a fast and easy cake.

For cook the recipe of my imaginary grandmother, you will need some ingredients: Three cups of flour, three spoons of baking powder, one and a half cup of sugar, three eggs, one cup of milk, some lemon peel, and finally…  let me remember…. Two spoons of  margarine. (Very important if you don`t want to eat pieces of charcoal.)
First, you have to beat margarine with sugar.  When you have a cream, add eggs, one by one, and still beating! Then, put flour and baking powder,  altenating the milk. When you see the mixture like a cream, again, put it on a big mold. (Don`t forget to put some margarine on the mold). Finally, put the mold on the oven. Start baking with no a lot of fire.

In aproximately 40 minutes, you will have this easy cake.

C. Rogers

 Carl Rogers is one of the most important theoreticians of Humanist psychology current. He said that we need to find  our  “real self” for accept us like we are. An open to the experiences person, and no on the defensive, perceives people and things clearly. He has good relations and a high self-esteem. The objective of a healthy person is the growth in SELF-FULFILMENT.

The theory of motivation of Rogers has had two important points today:

a) Freedom to learn.

Rogers wasn't be agree with the idea of the profesor who made that his students  learn things without interest to learn. Rogers prefered the word "facilitator": the person on charge of the class has to facilitate the self-discovery and the pursuit of knowledge.

b) The creativity.
We have to  establish a diference between "creativity of special talent" and "creativity of self-fulfilment". Poems,  theories, novels and paintings are a special talent, but a creativity of self-fulfilment is perceived in the daily live. To achieve the self-fulfilment we need to have an open and fresh mind. We have to have a  spontaneous expression and a curiosity about unknowed, mysterious and baffling things.

The "Cueca"

The cueca is a couple dance that represents the courtship and the conquest. It is the chilean nacional dance since 1979. It is danced since 1824, approximately. 
About the origin, there are a lot of theories. We think that it comes from Perú.
It has been have two functions: entertainment, and like a transmisor of our oral traditions and the voice of  our popular singers.
The lyrics are romantic and tradicionalist, and sometimes are about the low saliaries and urban life, style called "cueca brava" or "cueca chora".
In “music rooms” it was played with harps and guitars. In the countryside, in “chinganas”, it was danced with guitars and singing. Today, it is sung with two voices, sometimes accompanied by the harp, the piano and the accordion, and the palms for encourage the dancers. There are always a guitar and a tambourine.
There is an animal explanation for this dance. The name cames from “clueca”, the moves of the hen an the cock. In the "cueca", she is defensive and he is excited.
Although cueca today is limited to September, now is being rescued by chilean musicians who experiment with their sounds.
